Business for Sensible Healthcare

Business for Sensible Healthcare is a volunteer group of business leaders that support single-payer, universal healthcare because 1) it is a moral obligation and 2) it is best for our economy and 3) it will cost most of us less and get us OUT of the costly healthcare administration business.

Debuting in March 2009, this site was created by Lancaster County, PA businessman Charlie Crystle to recruit business executives, business owners and businesses to add their names to the list of supporters of HB 1660 and SB 400. Business owners or executives can add their firms' names to the list of supporters directly using the second link.

Physicians for a National Health Program

Physicians for a National Health Program is a single issue organization advocating a universal, comprehensive single-payer national health program. PNHP has more than 16,000 members and chapters across the United States.

Since 1987, we've advocated for reform in the U.S. health care system. We educate physicians and other health professionals about the benefits of a single-payer system--including fewer administrative costs and affording health insurance for the 46 million Americans who have none.

Our members and physician activists work toward a single-payer national health program in their communities. PNHP performs ground breaking research on the health crisis and the need for fundamental reform, coordinates speakers and forums, participates in town hall meetings and debates, contributes scholarly articles to peer-reviewed medical journals, and appears regularly on national television and news programs advocating for a single-payer system.

PNHP is the only national physician organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to implementing a single-payer national health program.

Single Payer Action

Single Payer Action is a national non-profit activist group working on behalf of the American people, seeking to implement a single payer health insurance system in the United States.

As their site states it:

  • We do direct action.
  • Face to face with the health insurance industry.
  • In front of the home office of your member of  Congress.
  • In front of your member of Congress, wherever he or she may be.
  • Until we get single payer.

    Healthcare-NOW

Healthcare-NOW! is an education and advocacy organization that addresses the health insurance crisis in the U.S. by advocating for the passage of national, single-payer healthcare legislation.  Right now, the National Health Insurance Act (HR 676) is the only legislation that will create a national, single-payer healthcare system.  We see healthcare as a human right, not a privilege tied to the ability to pay.
